Strikemaster bit on Eskimo Head?
« on: Feb 12, 2014, 03:02 PM »
I am in search for an adapter to put a strikemaster bit with a chipper blade on my eskimo z51 for when I fish the river.  Already ruined two sets of the eskimo chinese half chipper half lazer style blades drilling river ice. Does anyone know if this can be done?

You don't need an adapter. It will bolt right on using a 1/4" bolt. But, there will be some play in it. Strikemaster uses a 1/4" bolt to secure the auger to the powerhead, eskimo uses a 3/8. You can open the hole on the strikemaster to 3/8" if you want it to be snug, then of course you will have to use a longer bolt and a nylon lock nut. You could also use a 3/8" trailer snapper pin to hold it on if you plan to disconnect it from the powerhead often.  ;)
