Just wondering how many of us both fish and hunt. Came to mind after reading a post on here where someone mentioned a gunsmith and his gun. North American Fisherman (oct. nov. 2003) states that on average 23 percent of anglers surveyed also hunt. The highest percentage West Virginia (49 percent) and the lowest was California (6 percent)

I fish spring, summer, fall, & winter. I also hunt whenever there is something legal to hunt...provided it's something I want to eat..or know someone that does. How many of you guys give most of your fish to those who are not fortunate enough to get on the lake??? I think that's as rewarding as fryin up a mess of bass!

I LOVE hunting season... it's clears most of the folks off the lakes I fish!!

I don't hunt, so it's nice to have the lakes to myself, usually the best fishing of the year to boot!

I never keep fish for myself, but once or twice a year I'll keep a bunch of crappies for my neighbor, his wife is in a nursing hme, he just isn't able to get out like he'd like to. It works out good too, he cleans em up, cooks em and invites us over to help him eat em all.

Hunted a little as a kid. Not anymore. Fish, fish, fish and golf. Always bring my sand wedge on the ice to chip a few (yellow) golf balls. How bout you other guys?

p.s. The only fish I keep are usually perch that have been foul hooked/swallow hook or won't survive the release.

I fish and hunt. I've been fishing and rifle hunting since I was old enough to remember back in Allagash Maine. Now I'm expanding into Turkeys and hope to be Bowhunting this coming season. I'm primarily working York County now-a-days.

Muzzloading for whitetail and small game in the adirodacks cant think of anything better. I know that fishing the hardwater and regular seasons rank rate up there though!

been doing both since i could walk, i love the outdoors and i'm out there year round, there's nothing better than hunting whitetails and fishin for trout in the winter

Love to hunt and fish so much I do it for a living now Last year we killed 50 bears and 25 bull moose .I killed a 10point scored 156 filmed 2 hunts for scent-lok and walker game ear.i could never work a real job know !!

I do hunt also but time is limited so mainly fish, canoe, kayak and other outdoor things. Love the outdoors but fishing is the prime thing

Ice fish from Dec - March, then scout for and hunt turkeys in April -May, get out the boat and fish all summer, then in Oct start hunting again (grouse, ducks, geese, turkey, deer) then back to ice fishing in December! Gotta love it!

Fish,hunt, trap spend a little time camping.Love the ocean and wish I could spend more time hunting and fishing the salt.

sucks that the trout and salmon run are at the same time as deer hunting.And ice fishing is during wabbit season.

Love to hunt and fish!!! Even if nothing is biting or being shot at, being out in nature is where I want to be. I see so much more than if I were in the city, and it is generally much much quieter.

I do both. We are blessed here in Quebec to have all major species of freshwater fish. From May to October it's walleye, pike, trout, musky and salmon. Moose hunting in October, Deer hunting in November and of course ICE FISHING from December to March.
