Thorne Bros. has the LX-1 for $60 off the regular price.  Check it out while supplies last it's a steal.

I wondered if anyone around had the LXi handheld.  We got so much snow here or I would have one myself.
I have both the FL-18 and the LX-3.
I will be selling the 18 shortly cause I like the larger zoom window on the MarCum and it's ability to separate targets more crisply than the 18.
Nothing wrong with the FL-18 at all I just prefer the LX-3.

Wow - sounds like a handy unit I'll keep an eye out for one on sale or definitely get one before next ice season.  It's nice to know that milky ice isn't a problem.  Off hand what's the battery life on that unit?

In the past 2 weeks I've had to return two of the Marcum handhelds due to the battery cover leaking and letting water in thereby ruining the unit.  On the package it says waterproof, in the water it says different.
