Hot Spots Maps?
« on: Dec 15, 2004, 07:25 AM »
Question for ya...I've checked the web for maps for Deep Creek but have struck out.  The Fishing Hot Spots web site said they are developing one for MD but nothing yet.  Do you all know of where I can acquire a topo style map of Deep Creek?  There are tons of regular over-head type maps but nothing with contours that I've found.

I ordered my map from this place about 6 weeks ago. It's a paper style map, but has the topo features you want. Here's the link-->  http://www.mdwildlifeprotection.org/fishing_maps_of_deep_creek_lake_.htm

I believe the local tackle shops around the lake sell topo/fishing maps too, at least they have in the past.

Just bear in mind when using those maps, with depths shown, that those depth are when the lake is at full pool. They do drawback the lake some in the fall, every year, so that 20 ft deep piece of structure may actually be in 17 feet of water etc.
