Guide Gear Siberian Boots
« on: Feb 14, 2007, 12:48 PM »
Picked up a pair of these in black from Sportsman's Guide.  Outstanding value on these boots.  Very warm with 2000 grams Thinsulate in the foot alone.  Basically remind me of a Mickey Mouse without the valve.  Mine, size 12M, are both wider and longer on my foot that my LaCross boots that I have been wearing, with plenty of room for extra socks.  And I picked mine up for $29.99!  Close to $30.00 cheaper than what I paid for my last pair of Mickey Mouse boots at a Mil. Surplus store.

Downside, little insulation in the ankle area up and they lack traction making creapers a needed item.  All in all, I'm pleased with the purchase and hope to have these for a couple of years.
