Happy Accident
« on: Dec 23, 2015, 08:25 PM »
So I don't know if anybody else has stumbled on to this, but it was suggested that I post it here. Over the weekend we had a little fish fry. Normally I just use an egg wash and either Louisiana Fish Fry or shore lunch. As it turns out, instead of milk in my egg wash I used egg nog. My son is drinking whole milk and beings its the holidays we also had a jug of egg nog and they both had red caps. It took me 3 days to realize my mistake and the whole time I was wondering why that batch of fried fish was the best I've had! If you've got a jug sitting around this holiday season give it a try and let me know what you think!

I'm guessing that egg nog trick might be seasonal. . .not sure I've seen it on shelves in June. ;D

You can always make your own egg nog if you can't find it in the stores. My wife has been making her own for years. I'm sure you can google up a recipe.
