Skandic Vs. Bear Cat, which is the best?

This is what you need right here. It's a ski doo safari-cheyanne. It wieghs in at a little over 400 pounds so its actually pretty light. It's got the bullet proof rotax 503 fan, plenty of power. 16.5x136" track, pulls great but isnt too bulky, over all chassis is a little wider than a tundra. Only goes about forty (geared llooooowww) but pulls like a tractor. Mines an '89 and was only $1200. It has 1600 miles on it. They made 'em from about '87 to '91. It evolved into the skandic line. Oh and it's manual start with reverse

I wish I could find one of those. Found a citation with a 250 single lunger in it. It is very light but a short track. Will see this winter how it does.  Steve

well, here is my 2003 tundra and i wouldnt sell it for 10,000!!..but i also modified mine so that its a fully functional ice shanty /sled on the ice...it also has full lighting and rod storage on roof etc.....super good on gas!!...

i have a '06 ski doo 550 expedition sport. 550 fan motor. has 153in.by 16in. by 1.5in. lugged picked track. wide plastic skis. removable 2 up seat w/ rack. things like a tank. same sled nows over $10000 new. goes thru the worse slush no problem. not overely heavy like the skandic. also rides nice on the trails.

i have a 2005 bearcat 660 no turbo. i love it good in powder, pulls real good, and good trail riding sled. she will do 60 mph. on trails not fast but that ok with me my speed days are over.

my bro. just picked up a 2000  500cc bearcat w/ 1150 miles on it for $1500. things like mint w/ a 20in. track. came from one of his sports from vermont.  looks like it came from the showroom. he came up icefishing with it last winter. went thru over a ft. of slush and powdered snow. stayed right on top. thinks clutched like a tank.
