up hill both ways, bare foot in 8 feet of snow with the  coyotes chasing us, so the teacher wouldn't beat us and send us back home through 8 feet of snow, bare foot, with coyotes chasing us so we wouldn't get beat for being late for supper. 

You kids better get going, you forgot your school books, no ice fishing this weekend until your home work is done.

Awe geeze, dad, you know how we love to stand outside and watch you catch fish on the only one pole we own.  Sometimes dad let's us sput the hole with the screwdriver since we don't have a spud.

Never ending story.
