2007 licenses

Does anyone know when I can buy an annual non-resident fishing license that's valid for 2007?  I don't know what the effective dates are for MN licenses.  In Iowa, they're good from the date of purchase until January 10th of the next year as long as you buy them after a certain date in December.  I have the MN reg.'s in my hand, but can't find anything about the dates they're valid for.

What about shack permits?  Are they good for a year?  Are they valid for the same duration as the annual fishing licenses?

Your 2006 MN fishing license and shack license are good through Feb 28, 2007.

So what if I wanted a license valid from 1/1/07 to 12/31/07?  Do I have to buy an '06 AND an '07 license???

Yes. 

The '06 license is good from March 1, '06 to Feb 28, '07.

And the "07 license will be good from March 1, '07 to Feb 29, '08.

I think you can buy a non resident permit good only for a short period of time. It would be good for the time you would be here, and the March first deadline would not apply.

If you are looking to name your dates on the year, I don't think they will do that. Buying tons of licences, permits, stickers, tags, and stamps is a Minnesota tradition! :callcops:
