Shamineau or Alexander area reports.

Any one have any early ice reports? A buddy was on Shamineau last night. A little over 5 inches of ice, but no fish to be had. Heading that direction later in the week.

Thanks hard Ice I fished Alex last winter for the first time and I am heading there on WED. if conditions permit. I went out from the access on the south side and fished the nearby points and islands. Nothing big last year, but caught a few. The year before Shammy was awesome, but not so good since. It is a nice area and I enjoy the fishing and the local eating establishments.

Hey Guys, we have a cabin on Shamy, and the past few years we have done really good for eyes early ice out in front of the bible camp there. I cant make it up there this year for first ice cuz of college so thats a bummer, but if ur heading out give that spot a shot. Its always produced for me. Keep me posted on how u do~

That's OK. My buddy from Pillager got out and said Shamineau was fine and Alex was OK except for a few large cracks to watch out for. I am heading there in the morning for a couple of days. If you see a red wheelhouse that will be us.
