Hali jigs are perfectly legal to use in MA!
According to Mass Wildlife, the definition of a jig is a lead weighted hook. Or other words, the lead is molded onto the hook. A "Hali jig" would be considered a lure since the hook is attached to the jig via either a chain or split ring. I have talked to a few different EPO's regarding this when the law first came out and that is what they have told me.

Good news Rick! They were the only lead lures left in the arsenal. Wasn't giving them up...
