BY ENTERING THE CHAD BURK MEMORIAL ICE FISHING TOURNAMENT, I AGREE TO FOLLOW ALL STATE, COUNTY, LOCAL AND GAME AND PARKS LAWS AND REGULATIONS.
General Release. By entering the Contest, you (and, if you are a minor, your parents or legal guardians) release Chad Burk Memorial Ice Fishing, participating sponsors and any of their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees and agencies (collectively, the "Released Parties") from any liability whatsoever, and waive any and all causes of action, for any claims, costs, injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with the Contest or acceptance, possession, or use of any prize (including, without limitation, claims, costs, injuries, losses and damages related to personal injuries, death, damage to or destruction of property, rights of publicity or privacy, defamation or portrayal in a false light, whether intentional or unintentional), whether under a theory of contract, tort (including negligence), warranty or other theory.

1st ANNUAL CHAD BURK MEMORIAL ICE FISHING TOURNAMENT
Tournament Date is February 11, 2012
9am to 2pm
$30.00 entry Per Team will be accepted until 9am on the day of the Tournament
Only the first 40 teams will be accepted as determined by postmark for mailed
entries and date and time for hand delivered entries including the day of the
tournament.
The tournament will beheld at the Wellfleet Lake 27 miles south of North Platte, NE
On US Hwy 83. Sign in will be held at the boat ramp north of the lake entrance.

RULES AND REGULATIONS
1. This is a team event. Each team will consist of 2 fishermen.
2. Participants may fish with or without a portable shelter. When fishing in a shelter team numbers must be visible at all times. When not fishing in a shelter it must be kept in the open position as not to hole block. Shelters may be set up prior to the 9am start but the fishermen may not enter shelter until 9am start.
3. No third-party fishing during the event. Each team must fish alone. Family members, friends, or others known to Chad Burk Memorial Ice Fishing Tournament contestants, but not in the competition, MAY NOT fish within established tournament boundaries during the hours of competition, or on the morning of the competition before competition begins. Non fishermen other than officials and press will be asked to watch from outside of the core fishing groups as not to disturb the fishermen.
4. Participants can fish with only two lines at a time, and may have two spare poles.
5. Teams may not fish closer than 20 paces from another team. But no more than 15 paces away from their teammate.
6. Participants may drill as many holes as they wish, Competitors can fish any open hole as long as they maintain the 20 pace rule.
7. Hole Blocking is prohibited, Definition –the use of unattended shelter or other equipment to block the ice from other competitors whether there is a hole near said equipment or not.
8. All equipment brought onto the ice at bucket check must be with the team at all times, you may not leave fishing equipment in one location of the lake and go to another location to fish without said equipment. As this would constitute hole Blocking.
9. Participants must fish and travel within the designated tournament area.
10. Pre-fishing or “practice” fishing on the lake the day of the tournament is prohibited.
11. This is a one day – total weight tournament – designated species are Pan Fish. Each team can weigh up to 15. 1st tie-breaker will be the number of total fish caught. 2nd tie-breaker will be coin flip.
12. Teams must return to the official tournament finish line by 2:00 pm on Saturday. All of the team’s fish must be in your possession at all times during tournament hours. If you have not passed the weigh in line by 2:00 pm your team will be disqualified.
13. Unsportsmanlike or unethical behavior is grounds for disqualification.
14. The decision of Chad Burk Memorial Ice Fishing Tournament officials is final. Remember this is about fun, enjoy and be safe.
IN THE EVENT OF NO ICE OR UNSAFE ICE AS DETERMINED BY FRURARY 9th AT 5PM ALL ENTRY FEES WILL BE RETURNED

Two Trophies will be awarded for 1st 2nd and 3rd places. One per team member of each team.
Prizes will awarded for the oldest fisherman, the youngest fisherman, the fisherman that traveled the farthest (miles) and the largest fish
Lunch will be provided to contestants after weigh in and awards presentation.
Breakfast and lunch items will be available for purchase before and during the tournament
50% of all entry fees will be returned to the fishermen in prize money and 50% will be added to Chad’s son Zachery’s future education fund.
