Last time I was out, pike was lousy on Saturday and pretty good on Sunday, but not where I'd caught them the week before.  Perch bit great on Sunday, at least where I was.

headed to 4th lake this weekend for the first time hopefully with stellar results!
If you consider it a sport to gather your food by drilling through 36 inches of ice and sitting there all day hoping that the food will swim by, you might live in northern New York

I posted a couple months ago about a planned trip to the Ogdensburg, Waddington, Massena stretch of the St. Lawrence February 20th through the 24th. Welp, since we've still got little to no ice in my neck of the woods my trip is still on and my resolve strengthened. I'll be doing the night time Walleye thing solo. I've done some homework and have a few spots picked out. If anyone's got any reports or last pieces of advice, I'm all ears. I'm staying in Massena and I suppose the last piece of info I could use is which bait store has the hardiest shiners. Thanks.

anyone have any info on solid perch/crappie places to fish this winter? I am looking to get my hands on some crappie soon for a good feed. Any places people know of would be appreciated. I know black lake is decent for crappie right? Where do they usually fish them on black lake?

Joe said they cut it up to see what it had eaten. Reguardless, nice fish Terry!! She's no slouch either, she goes all the time.

Heard about this fish, exactly as northernnyice said, they cut it open to see what was inside.  My .02 is what a waste.  On the wall or back in the hole.  But regardless, nice fish!

What he is getting at, is that a 18+ pound fish (or however big you guys feel) is a trophy fish and isn't normally thought of as an eater. It's a wall banger, or let er get 20 pounds. That is just my opinion, also.
