If you consider it a sport to gather your food by drilling through 36 inches of ice and sitting there all day hoping that the food will swim by, you might live in northern New York

Kamilinthere, there's all kinds of places up here you could drive a vehicle on...

The hill going down to Hawkins is terrible as usual. I fell down it last time I went and almost tipped the sled over.

Went out on Fern Lake in Black Brook NY on Saturday.  Lots of ice and a lot of small perch.  No walleye though.  Has anyone ever pulled one through the ice there?

Wait. What? 10"+ everywhere where is this. Im off ice til wensday cuz of warm temps and only having 4-5"  so lets go bullheading make some money for when the hard water is good again. But i may take a trip north if theres jumbo perch good crappie and gills looking for the elusive eye thru the ice
Tight lines. Ice 'em and be safe

Went out to the Lake of the isles yesterday with a buddy of mine, we ended up catching a load of dink perch and took home only 15 jumbos. A very nice place to fish with nice scenery. Is there more jumbo perch in eel and goose bay than lake of the isles? I just don't like sifting thru 20 fish to one keeper, but you gotta do what you gotta do i guess  ;).
