Anyone been following this?
How's the ice they all ask? "I’ll tell you what, you can get a good look at a t-bone by sticking your head up a bull’s butt, but I’d rather take the butcher’s word for it."

Ridiculous.  I don't have kids in schools but I pay taxes to fund the schools in my town.  What's the difference?

maybe i will file a lawsuit to protect my fish and game funds to not rescue hikers or to not build kayak launches for people that use said launches but don't pay any fees to use them. or the fact that electric trolling motors on canoes have to be registered but electric bikes do not.

That’s unreal, fish and game is so much more than just an organization that manages wildlife. Like salmonemia said they also rescue hikers and lead volunteers to do so that don’t get paid (thank you for that service you do) I personally get pissed off when I hear about a crew of 15 people going to rescue a knucklehead that has shorts and a t shirt with no water and just not prepared. but some people need that service sh*t happens. when a bear eats your trash every night and ruins your property who are you going to call to trap and relocate the bear?

It sounds to me like Dora the dog walker wants to get on the commission without getting any licenses.

It's the same thing with gun debates. You get all these uneducated people who need their opinions heard when they have no idea what they're talking about. Even if it was true that all they did was make hunting fishing laws, wouldn't it make sense that the people managing the resources be well informed on the matters? Not just a bunch of Sunday hikers who get all their information from Facebook posts
The BIG one is just one flag away!

Can someone find a lawyer who will help me sue the state over snowmobile and OHRV registration funds going to the trails that I don't use? Thanks in advance!

Maybe NH should do what Colorado did…merge Parks and Fish & Game and rename to Colorado Parks and Wildlife, (CPW)! Created a “cluster”, but the “brown banana and kale” bunch seemed happy about it!

Gotta leave the ice sometime unless you got frontage and only fish that body of water...

Coupla years ago we went up to Houghton (UP) on a guided trip. Got nicked the second night coming off in guides Argo because it didn't have the current ORV sticker affixed. Came off the ice, into the parking area and onto the trailer. Kicker was he had a current sticker, just hadn't put it on and figured it wouldn't matter in the parking lot. $75 and costs... They're everywhere.
To fish or not to fish? That's a stupid question!

Just this weekend, FF's had to rescue somebody in snowshoes on Naticook who hussled to the island when the thin ice began to "loosen up" around him.  Got to the island & called to be rescued.

I know FF's & F&G are different entities, but this kind of stuff happens literally all the time.

That guy in Merrimack had to be an idiot given the current conditions, AND the state of the ice as seen in the pictures.

I don't have a dog in this fight but an interesting parallel happened in California. Don't underestimate the trouble these people can cause.

In California several years back an animal rights group challenged the Mountain Lion (cougar) hunting season by saying the Fish & Game didn't have the proper studies to determine the actual size of the population. The Fish & Game didn't have the funds to do the kind of study they wanted, so the season was closed. Didn't take long for the ML population to expand enough for hikers and bycylists to start getting attacked. I have no idea what the status is now as I haven't heard anything.
I live in the midwest now but have fond memories of fishing in New England as a kid.

One destroyed me...I was seperated from the herd on a shuttle ride back to the hotel after a tradeshow.  She asked to sit next to me on the bus despite a million open seats.  The rest is history.

One got me at a party on Cow Island about 15 years ago. I cant say I was surprised though. I was in prime habitat, open bar with a 70’s cover band.
