Dare I ask if anyone’s been to Surry Mountain Lake?

I live about 15 minutes away, but have not bothered to check due to rain and how much the level fluctuates there. PM me when we get some colder temps, I will definitely be checking it. P.S. where are you coming from?

I was in the area today so I swung by and found the lake to be gated closed.  Walked in and found within a few feet of the shoreline to be open/cracked up.  Looked like 4” of ice on some of the exposed edges.  Open water on the north end.

Ice was thick enough for foot traffic today on Surry Mountain Lake.  Fishing was very slow ... couple of YPs and one nice ECP.  A great day fishing but not so much for catching.

I was out yesterday about 20 mi. East of there, 7-8" of good solid ice. Slow day too but good to be out! I'm in Keene, if you ever are wondering about conditions somewhere shoot me a message and I'll see if I can help.
