Soaked my boots at Crystal pond in Eastford/ Woodstock. There's ice but it's Covered in slush, was pretty much wading. I tried to ignore her but that fatso is singing there.

Head north young (or old, as the case may be) man.

There is about 3 feet of ice on the ponds (Bog, Burnett's and North) in the Savoy State Forest in the NW corner of MA.

Barring unusual heat wave, it is reasonable to expect (based on past year's experience) fishable ice will last into early-to-mid April.

YUP, as long as we dont have one of those wicked warm pissssser rain storms that washer the ice away. This time last year I was driving to Athol-Warwick area to find safe ice. I will be happy to fish the first week of April.

I fished in the sturbridge area the last couple days.  There is still 10-11" of solid ice under 4-6" of snowy/slushy cover.  The cover has been blocking the ice from the sun.

I had 10 inches in the north east corner today. A little slush but doable for the  walk. It's not over yet unless we get a lot of rain. Fishing a couple more weeks in CT.

Where in NH Ravo? We have a place in northern Maine, with luck we can fish until April 15th. That's a regulation thing, average iceout is first/second week of May.

well i thought it was a great year on the ice. maybe not in numbers but in quality. I caught some beautiful fish this year, cudos to deep for their efforts. Those late season brookies they stocked along with the rainbows made my season. time to take out the flyrod. see you on the water

Winchester area. High elevation. It's been very good to me in previous years for late ice largemouth.

Good luck to those of you still getting out. I packed the gear away last weekend but am certainly satisfied with the season, especially considering that my little corner of the state only had good ice for a few weeks. While I didn't land any trophies, the conditions forced me to check out a lot of waters I've never fished. I also caught some species I never had before (salmon, lakers, cusk). This was my first season with a flasher too, which was a gamechanger, especially when waiting for pike flags (and catching pike bait).
As always, it's been great giving and taking info on this site all winter. I'm not a big social media guy, except for iceshanty.com of course. And props to eiderz for all the time he spends keeping it clean and productive.
Talk to you all next season when the water starts skimming over.
