Storm Lake

How are the ice and snow conditions on Storm Lake?    Would like to take my wheelhouse up this weekend and spend a couple nights.    Obviously a fishing report would be appreciated also!  Thanks in advance.  ;D

Can't say for sure about right now, but ice was inconsistent a few weeks ago when I was there.  Like other places nearby, I would imagine there is a fair amount of slush on top of the good ice.  I think the walleye bite is primarily early morning and evening, with the occasional walleye during the day while you're getting some perch and crappie.

The last time I was there, I didn't do that well, but caught 3 average sized perch.  However, I was around many fish.  They just seemed mostly unwilling to bite.  I was out in front of Frank Starr Park.
