Looking for some input on ice conditions on Storm Lake. Safe ice up there yet? Never been to the lake, is it as good of walleye fishery as people say?

I've fished storm lake a few times this ice season. Just south of kings point is 7-9" of decent ice. Walleye fishing has been down the last couple of years. Caught mostly perch and some smaller walleye this year with a crappie or 2 each time. Morning bite in 12' of water

I caught about 15 perch there on Thursday. Most were 5-7 inches with a few keepers. All my walleyes were dinks or in the slot. Good fishing though. Morning bite was best for me on the west dredge cut.
