LAST WEEKEND?

Hello all, things seem to be coming to a screeching halt as temps seem to continue to soar. Getting prepared to call this the last weekend of the 2019-2020 season. Is anyone else making it out for at least one more trip? If so whats everyone targeting? Can't wait to hear about it!

Gonna go for one last ride Sunday, for Rainbows. Probably the hardest thing to find good ice for this weekend considering they’ll be staging but it’s what I want to catch. If not, so be it.

Yup same here. I'll be targeting rainbows. As of last Sunday most all my go-to bow spots weren't accessible. But I've got one last trick up my sleeve for Saturday. Got some Intel that there's still safe ice getting on at one of my private access points. Gonna give er hell! Could possibly be a last outing for me, hope the bites better than it has been lately.

Last Saturday was my first time trying to target rainbows, sad to say I came up without any but my buddy I was with caught his first trough the ice. Would love to be able to land my first this weekend before we're all wrapped up! PS:The buddy that caught the rainbow had the open water itch and told me he wasn't coming, and what do you know when I'm 10 minutes away from the lake I get a call from him asking where I am  ;D

WaS going to go Saturday,  but have decided on tomorrow..might hint bows myself.

Put the wheeler and the gas augers to bed today..stored the pop ups and small sleds.. kind of sad. Took the winter cover off of my koi pond, earliest ever..

I will attempt to ice fish from this Friday until next Wednesday. I am heading up to the lakes region and will search until I find fishable ice with decent access, plank or not. I am way too invested at this point. Safety first, fish second and I am going out with a bang. I will also never schedule the start of my vaca on Friday the 13'th. LOL Fingers crossed.

Haven't really targeted them all season.. might as well get rid  of the multiple jars  of salmon eggs I'm hoarding.. I'll have to change out the  hooks though.

Yea no kidding. I'm throwing the rods in the truck just in case. headed for the ice at dawn but if it's no good, I'll be on the river

Good plan..I don't know what I'll find..if I don't like it I'll take the long way home and hit a breakfast joint while scouting for next season..

I had 15 3 days ago.. now the top 4 is corn and the edges are toast... it don't last long when it starts going south.

I'm hoping to get out one more time on Saturday...maybe headed north till I find safe ice. Hopefully, Lisbon or Lancaster.  I'd hate to be done, just one more day...fingers crossed. If I get to Lancaster and it's a no go. I guess it's either an hour home or an hour more to BDP....I'll go with the latter...if need be.
