Title: Favorite fishing line
Post by: da.mike on Dec 22, 2020, 08:23 AM
What is everyone’s favorite line? I’m thinking of switching breaded nylon spider wire to something different but having a very difficult time deciding. I’m not a fan using leaders either.

my panfish rods have Sufix Ice Magik, 3lb mono. I used to use the same in 8lb for my walleye rods, but switched them over to the Sufix Ice Braid with a mono leader

Good feed back for rods. What you use for tip ups? I’m used to a spiderwire with a limited stretch but everything I see is zero stretch. I’m afraid it will shred my hands when pulling up a line.

I’m identical to Bigstorm for pannies and just switched to braid and fluoro/mono leader for eyes.  Tip ups I like a heavy braid to reduce cutting my hands, and for a leader I use 8lb braid...it’s nimble, abrasion and tooth resistant, and barely visible.
