I like my showdown.
I don't think performance would be any different than any
other flasher so if you want one. Go buy it.

You won't hear anything positive from people who own
something different. It's like the Ford vs Dodge vs Chev etc debate.
I like the imports

Do get one with the newest software upgrade and you won't
be sorry. They work great. The detail is great.

I even had a fish tell me that the newer technical
electronics was better than the same old bulb flasher
that's been around for ever.

Who you gonna trust, the fish or the people fraid of change.

Just kidding, enjoy which ever you choose.

I bought a Bird 45 and Vex Fl-20 ultra this year and they are both fantastic units and do exactly what you need them to. 

I'm thinking next year I'll by a lx-5 and maybe a showdown too.  That way when someone says they use "x" brand and it's the only thing out there worth spit and everything else is poop, I'll call them an idiot and bring out my "x" brand and rant about this or that.  I would be a living version of 50% of the threads in this section, oh joy.

Honestly, I bought both this year and their great.  I am sure all of em are great and you should get what you need and what you can afford/are comfortable spending.  Do a little research, independent research.

Then go out, have fun and be thankful you can go out and have fun.
