night fishing for pike

has anyone had any success fishing for pike at night? and if so what bait and presentation was used? the water is not crystal clear but not that dark neither.

Its not worth it. Pike are like perch, they cant see well at night, fish for crappies.

Pike shut it down after dark.  You might have some luck with a full moon and no snow on the ice.

PIKE USUALLY DONT HIT AFTER DARK. THEY ARE A SIGHT FEEDER AND NEED TO BE ABLE TO SEE THEIR PRAY. IF YOU DO TRY TO FISH PIKE AT NIGHT MAKE SURE THE PRAY IS SMELLY AND OILY LIKE SMELT. MUSKY WILL FEED AT NIGHT BUT THIS IS USUALLY ON WARM MUGGY NIGHT,

usually the only fish that are worth night fishing under the ice for are crappies, smelt, burbot, and walleyes...(in that order )

In 30 some years of fishing where pike are numerous, i've never got one after dark. (Not that i never tried) They usually will make a last minute bite just prior to sundown, but after that it is over until the next day.
