Epic day

What a day Saturday.... Went out to Winni with my son and 3 buddies. Probably the last day there with this weather....Between the 5 of us we landed 53 fish. 3 cusk and the rest were lakers. Fished from 8-2. My son pulled 21 fish from the same hole. He was pretty stoked.
I have a buddy coming up from Florida to ice fish on Thursday for the weekend....we made this plan in the fall. Hopefully we can find some ice up in Pittsburg.

I spent month of February on 1st Connecticut lake.
Fished around most of the lake - ice had been around 16” but when I left March 1st had about 4” water on top.
Check as you go but should still have some ice.

Thanks for the update and yeah we will be taking it slow and checking a lot as we go!

It was a great day and great way to end the season on Winni.

I was up in Pittsburg Monday and Tuesday. Both Francis and 1st were wet on top on Monday, saw one group on Francis and I might have been the only one on 1st. 7-14 inches of ice on first Connecticut, it was the only place I fished and only ice I checked. I fished in the same area on Tuesday and it was drier on top of the ice. Drove up to 3rd and it had the least puddling and water on top.

Looks like a great day. I was out last sat things were looking good. Then it rained. I went yesterday it took lots of driving to finally get on some edges that were strong enough to hold up.
