Sunday's Best
« on: Feb 20, 2011, 06:32 PM »
Sunday afternoon was very slow.  Only got 6 gills-hybrids jigging.  Fortunately, two were real nice.  Here's the best one, just a bit over 10" caught on a diamond eye jig tipped with a waxworm in 22' of water.

Nice hybrid, Husky. Just noticed all your big fish (and Mine) have worn off bottom tails. Do you think that's from last years spawn?

Captain,

Thats exactly what I think it is.  About 75% of our big gills and hybrids this winter have had worn down tails from past year's spawns.  At least thats what I think the cause is.

These fish are the greatest. Man pound for pound when you get them on that ultra light tackle, its a beautiful thing
