The bays and channels on Indian Lake are covered with 6"- 8" of good clear ice. The main lake in some areas is still open water.
Saugeye - The Saugeye fishing is still good with some good size fish being caught. The first hour of daylight and the evening hours are the best. Blackhawk and Moundwood are still the best. Vib "E"s and jigging rapalas sometimes tipped with minnows seems to be working.
Panfishing - Pan fishing is real good with Perch, Bluegill and Crappie biting. Use small rubber baits on 1/80 oz. jigheads and small ice jigs. Tip baits with wax worms, spikes, mousees or euro larvae. The best areas are Long Island, Blackhawk, Game Preserve and Cranberry.
