Sturgeon bay? Indiana guy need help!

(1/1)

fishinator:
What's up guys? I'll try to keep this short. Some friends and I are coming up February 17th to 20th. The original plan is to fish whitefish from some shacks we rented. I talked to the guy we rented them from and he said as of now, it is up in the air if we will be able to fish.
We have a house booked for that weekend and all of our own gear (excluding machines, will be on foot)
Is there anywhere else in the area that would be worth a shot if we can't get to deep water whitefish? I have heard little sturgeon bay has perch that you can walk to but that's about all I got as far as information.
Thanks for any help you can send my way

LENNY:
Welcome to Wisconsin... the ice on the Bay is not too stable from what i have heard. South of Sturgeon Bay is a town called Dyckesville, you may be able to get out there and still fish for whitefish closer to the shore. One of the guides up there Big Brutes Guide service (phone 920-559-0688) can probably give you better details and may have shacks in that area. Good luck.

Be very iffy with the warm up coming. I'd try one of the protected bays on GB
Couple days ago. It's not going to get much better.
