anybody checked the ice around the QC area?

Well took tomorrow off to spend the day on the ice. I fished Sunday and caught some nice gills and catfish and were only out for a hour. Possibly could be the last outing for the year

hung up the gear last night. got out on the weekend and the ice was plentiful but you could see it was going to pot fast.  close to me the ice was probably fishable monday but we decided to just set trees instead.

i've fallen through enough times.

After yesterdays rain I think its safe to say good bye to the ice for this year.

I was telling the wife that it is about time to put the ice fishing equipment away also. I'm at the age that I do not thinking it is wise to go out on the ice even if it has some depth to it. With all the rain I'm sure it has started the honey-coning procede. That is a very dangerous time. If you younger guys go out be safe!!
