What the heck is going on this year? We cant get over 6" of ice on the river backwaters. Everywhere else is 8-10 and the river is 4-6. 3 days of highs below 20 and lows below 0 and we have open water... what the hell? Any other year and these last 3 days would have made 3" of ice.

I drove by the rock river today here in sterling and it was completely froze over and looked pretty solid. Hard to believe just straight west in the backwaters of the miss that there could still be open water with these temps
