April 1st Ice Fishing or Stream Trout fishing?

I can't remember an April fools season opener quite like this one.
Beautiful day to be on a low water stream before spring rains turn it into a raging torrent.
Beautiful day to still get on the ice at several higher elevation water bodies.
With such tough choices, what did you do on April 1st?
(Or, since this was also a Friday, what are the weekend plans)?
