I was wondering if anyone uses the eggs that come in jars like balls of fire and how they stack up vs. cured eggs made by yourself. I have used them when i have no eggs i have cured and have had good success. They seem to work just as well as many of my cured eggs but some people tell me they don't work nearly as well. They are real expensive compared to curing your own eggs yet i am curious on how they have done when used by other fisherman, especially trout guys.

For many years I used the bottled cured eggs for trout and they worked ok,but when I discovered tying spawn sacs from fresh trout eggs my catch rate soared!I dont cure the eggs,I just freeze them and thay will last for a year or so frozen but the fresher the better.

Well maybe because the fish receive so little pressure here they are not as spooky?
