So with the new sleeper flip over added this year, and also a desire to be able to me more mobile especially when there isn't sufficient snow for the snowmobile....I started looking around for a quad. Ended up getting a used Honda TRX400 Rancher for a killer deal and after my first ever carburetor re-build ($18 rebuild kit and help from you-tube), new spark plug, oil & filter change and a new battery, it runs great. New tires going on next week.
I added cargo racks to the front and back.
Installed auger mounts I made to hold the K-drill to the front rack.
Designed a quick on/off organizer attachment that keeps stuff from falling out. It attaches with just two quick thumb screws from below. The bag in the middle has tools, spare spark plugs, tow strap, etc.. Ignore the seat...forgot to attach it correctly before the pics. There are similar auger mounts attached to the top of the chest for when I am using it on the snowmobile.
Made the organizer easily removable in case I end up with a second person with me. The organizer attachment disconnects with the thumb screws and a padded seat drops in. Will just use extra bungees to keep stuff from falling out if I have a second person with me.
