OOOH!- As long as these weathermen are right about the temps droppin into the teens at night +thirties for the next couple days-Friday afternoon looks like an evening at batterson with theshelter+lantern fishing until I can't see the flags.

Good luck Bugchazer! I would love to go tomorrow night but I really need to boil down some maple sap as it is starting to finally run good. There just isn't enough time in a day to do it all even when you are retired. I'm thinking of putting a musky on the bucket list so the trips I'm making now searching for a hard water trophy Walter may next year seem like a drive to the corner market.

Walter had lockjaw tonight, 3 flags , 2 ft run off than dropped. Interesting fishing in a hurricane, got really cold. Chair kept trying to fly away. All in all a good nite at a pretty spot. Done for the year. Met some good people missed out on others. Good luck stay safe

OK Walleye nuts, I'm looking for a few good Men & Women To accompany me this Sunday afternoon, For my last ice pilgrimage this yr. Target Fish keeper size Walters,bring your tip ups ,jigging rods,Tip up lights, portable shanty. Weather sunny temps in the 30's wind NW 12 Mph, arrive around 2 pm stay until the last walleye is caught, well into dark,Going to try the east side near the dam deepest part of the lake near shore, Fishing from 18' to 2' Of water. Lets do this!!

I fish Batterson with good success in open water but can't seem to figure this place out through the ice. I've been out there with a buddy of mine for a total of more than 30 hours since it opened with only 3 walleye (one keeper) and a bunch of perch to show for it. I've tried just about every spot on the lake.

By my count that's 9 or 10 guys,and growing, were are all the women at? With 60 tipups out something going to happen. Weneric We all look like grumpy old men, because we are. As far as equipment goes I think there will be plenty of augers and old holes to fish in, There are no strangers in the world, just friends we have not met yet!
