Title: Pic request, Otter shacks loaded with gear.
Post by: fishEH on Dec 20, 2021, 06:24 PM
Looking for pics of the Otter Cabin or Lodge(or any Otter flip over) loaded with gear. I'm having a hard time effectively placing my gear in the sled for pulling.
There are two issues:
1) The insulated fabric takes up a LOT of room inside the sled.
2) The seat slide rail is offset and doesn't leave much room behind it, especially with all the folded up material there too.

So I need some pics of where you put your gear(auger, buckets, heater, etc) when pulling your shanty.

Here’s mine. Lodge with bench seat, auger is on side by side, or there is room under the bench seat.

All that material you have laying in the back section doesn’t need to be taking up all that room.  Lift it up and pull it back out of the way and fill all that space up with gear!  I put a 20lb propane tank, big buddy heater, 5gal pail, bbq and tackle bag all on the back side of that bar.  The canvas will ride up on top of all that stuff.  You can stack a lot of stuff in those tubs. Leave the seats in place and just fold them down and put the cover on.

I always place my rod case on top of the shack under the cover.
