My youngest son hit CW solo on Friday, 7a to 1:30p. I told him to try an area that I haven't ice fished in many years, and he had a good day.
Fished 25-30 fow, it took him 2 hours to get his 5 tip ups in the water. Ended the day with 3 nice smallies, a 2 pound brown, and more that 30 jumbo perch.
The smallies went back into the drink, the brown went to his girl friends father, and the perch came home and filleted.
On Sunday, both of my sons and I hit CW, same spot, 7a - 1:00p. It was an ok day, considering the post frontal conditions.
Took home 17 jumbos. My oldest son had a large brown coming up the hole, but a couple of head shakes, and it cut the 8 pound leader.
BTW, the jigging has been exceptionally slow, with only a few jumbos caught. Tip ups and shiners did the damage.
