What's the difference between the 2803 in the 2804? Does the 2803 not have 1200 pounds of torque? Did they mislabel it? I ordered one and will cancel it if it's not the product that I thought it was

The different gen drills are 2703 vs 2803. That drill will have 1200lbs of torque still. They just changed the handle and some other small things I believe. Its a great deal regardless of what drill they send you.

I just called and talked to them and the lady didn't know she said she would email the department and they'll get back to me tomorrow. I told her I'll cancel if it's a 2703 and if it's the 2803 ship it to me

2703 is drill/driver 2804 is hammer drill.  Both have 1,200 in/lb of torque and you will never use the hammer drill function with your auger, only if you're drilling concrete.

The 28 series..has improved side handle design ..the 2803/2703 are not hammer drills but have 1200 in/lbs of torque the 2804/2704 are 1200 in/lbs and are hammer drill

OK now I think I get it. Since we don't use the hammer setting ice fishing it might not matter if I get the 2703? Because it still gets 1200 pounds of torque and works OK? It says I get a 3 year warranty on the tool and 2 year on the battery

If your adding a Clam Plate the 2704/2703 would be just fine ..I really cant believe that many stores have any 2704/2703 in stock ..but I guess it could be a possibly.

I'd maybe try and call one of the many brick and mortar stores directly, they each list the name of the manager. 

Maybe ask for a picture, at least ask they confirm based on the SKU#.

Just a heads up to those looking at the Ridgid tool deal, it doesn't look like the octane hammer drill is available under the free tool option.  They have been super skimpy on the drill deals this year  plus inventory seems in short supply for some reason.  I ended up getting a good deal on the batteries and charger for black friday. And then bought a "new" drill with battery and charger on ebay for around $170. 

Not the optimal situation but better than buying the bare tool or a package at an inflated price from Home Depot.

The only drill I can see available with this deal is the impact driver, 2,400 ft pounds thrust .... Can this be used in conjunction with a mini Nero auger ? The drill looks kind of small ...

mark is doing well. he says he can't access the site from work anymore. something about new cloud based servers. he has an ipad at home but doesn't like typing on it or getting that sort of work done on a tablet.

we are working on a work around atm and might see him here again soon.
he is off of work and on his tablet. trying to get him to look into a tablet keyboard for home use. and try tor browser at work.
