HB transducer float - leave on or take off???
« on: Jan 07, 2015, 03:39 PM »
I took off the transducer float from my Humminbird 45 and now can't find it.   I think I took off last year cause always in the way.    Do most leave on, take off,   or buy an arm that supports the transducer?   Also who was the guy making those arms?

I took mine off after first day of using the flasher. I have the ice 45 also. I just put the transducer cable against side of hole.  No issues

I have used it with and without, I do not use the extra or the clip.  Currently I use a float with a vexilar float stop.

Took mine off the first day I used my Ice 45! No issues in 2 years.

I like to hole hop and having the float set for the ice depth is nice (no readjusting from hole to hole).
