I mean, what REAL guy cares about how much he already has??? It's the new stuff we don't have that we should measure!

Me personally, between the arctic armor suit, boots, sleds, rods, tackle, etc. etc. - I probably have somewhere around $1,500 - $2,000 in icefishing stuff.

Are we counting ATVS that are used on the ice? if so, that number goes up a little

Well over $5K and I dont have a quad or hardshack. Wife was teasing me while out the other day that I haqd on almost $1000 worth of clothes.

I'd guess at 3k with rods, reels, tipups, auger, electronics, clothing, shanty, and lures.

im pretty fortunate.. i have a free bucket, hand me down ice auger and A rod! but you know how hard it is just to fill that dam bucket everyday?

Wow what a great topic......hard to say as I have scaled down (not by choice because of moving into a condo) Resorted to just a jet sled, gas auger, portable shanty, comfy chair and lots of tip ups! Probably about 1K

I have 2 ice blue rods at about 10 bucks each. an old clam one man flip over shanty from a garage sale at $25 and about $15 in jigs and line. I put in a $20 bait order from jada this year. my auger is an old 6in lazer a buddy gave me. So no counting gas I have under $100 in ice fishing gear.

Just this year
$ 3700 for a used polaris
$1000 for a used snowmoble
$400 for a permanent hut(most of the material was free from jobsites)
$400 for flasher
$400 for gas auger
$300 for pop up hut
$200 for lures
$150 for rods
Gas, bait and other stuff....Still counting
I,ll be done when they bury me or globel warming messes it up

It is going to get worse next year .New snowmachine,trailer and a trip to the Bay of Quinte

I just keep telling myself...it;s ok you have spent much more on worse thingsand the time spent on the ice with my kids makes it worth every nickel
