Birch Lake Brookies & Bows (Aqua-vu footy)
« on: Dec 02, 2020, 12:14 AM »
- Recorded November 27, 2020

I capture some interesting Brookie feeding behaviour with my Aqua-vu at Birch Lake, ice fishing for Brook, Rainbow, and Brown Trout.

Ice was around 6" at the time along the NE end of the lake away from the aerator.  ;)

I think I spotted one brown on this trip but wasn't fortunate enough to capture him on video.

Fishing was somewhat slow (I find out why) but I iced a few trout and enjoyed the day exploring the lake and chatting a bit with a few fellow anglers.

Come say Hi if you ever see my shack out on the ice.

Tight lines all.

Looks like you had a good day out on birch, I have never had any luck on there in the winter, I fly fish it abit in the summer and do decent.  :icefish:

I'll have to take the kayak out in the Spring/Summer and try it out with the fly rod. Thanks!
