Hey guys I am heading out to crawling valley, Alberta in search of some burbot. After contacting some anglers and looking at the Navionics maps I have come up with a couple locations. I am fairly new to the burbot fishing scene and am wondering which locations you would fish based on the map.

Get out there drill some holes and start fishn. That is how every one else has learned.
Start in 25-30 FOW and they are best fished at night.

In the past when I've fished CVR, I stick to this area, https://goo.gl/maps/PuJViwxkuFiVoDyq5
I've pulled numerous burbs from around here, all around this time of year.
In the evening in 10 - 15 fow pounding the bottom with a glow jig.
Tight lines!

Just wondering what unit you run the Navionics in and how do you like it?

Not sure about the OP, but I run navionics on my phone. I prefer it on my phone over my bird. Just my opinion.
I think it’s 30ish dollars for mobile devices.

Is it pretty clear and accurate?

Very clear. Nice thing is you have three different depth highlight options so you can clearly pick out what depths you want to target. It helps when finding structure I think.
Accurate.... yes and no. Same lake it can be accurate to a foot and at other spot you could be 20 feet out.
I use it more to put me in the ball park, then use my auger and electronics to confirm.
