Hello Ya'll, Trev here. I'm new to the site but not new to freezing on the hard water. Just thought i'd let you all know a little about myself. I am a member of the 34th Military Police Company, currently deployed with the 34th ID in Iraq. I'm the only guy who has pictures of my shanty hangin all around my sleepin area! 8) It's around 120 degrees here on average, but even with that heat (or i should say especially with that heat) i miss the cold even more. I have the ultimate ice fishin bug and it's eating me alive, it's an itch that i can't scratch untill i'm 9,000 miles closer to the land of 10,000 frozen lakes. This site and all you great people that use it have helped me scratch a little bit of that itch... i can almost feel my fingertips going numb already! I look forward to seeing all your reports and pictures once that heavenly frost starts to form on the lakes! Thanks guys

Nice to meet you. I was in the 1 125th out of Anoka. I'm currently IRR. When is your deployement done?

Trev, Ty so much for yer service in that blasted good for nuttin Sandbox. Several of my relatives, and friends have played in that sandbox and several are returning to play again. I guess my reply is a little late, but I wanted to wish you well and thank you for your service also. My Son-in-law did 3 tours over there and still talks about the heat. I'm a police officer as well and get miserable wearing a ballistic vest when the thermometer climbs past 85. Can't imagine wearing one in 120 degrees. Stay safe!
