When I was 5 years old I'd would fish with my Dad, he'd bait the hooks and I'd send them down - It really was so good then I'd get 3 or 4 flounder up before he could get his line wet. He'd pull my fish, bait the line and down it went.

"Dad, they're on this side of the boat."

Once I started baiting my own hooks and pulling my own fish, not so much...Still, great memories.

A guy at work once asked me how much fish costs per pound when you catch them yourself. I said, "Sir, I started that math but I went to public school and can't count that high."

That part on grumpy old men when Arial puts the big walleye back and the first and only thought max has to say (besides ahhhhhh) is "no body's going to believe me!". I have lost some very big fish in the past trying to get them through the hole and every time involuntarily I have found myself saying the same thing! And every time I got a real monster lying on the ice (2 times in my ice fishing career) I find my self quoting about "having it stuffed and mounted over my fireplace!". Lol, I don't even have a fireplace!

Yeah and I dont even drink beer.... can't because I'm allergic to Hops....
Several Buddies though... and they are famous for wanting to go out, fishing, camping, hunting whatever... but when the beer is gone they get antsy n wanna leave.....So it has kinda become the joke saying with us....

I usually get a fishing related shirt from my mother each Christmas often with some sort of fishing quote. I have to go through them but on that pops into my head "early to bed , early to rise, fish all day and make up lies".
