What is the wildest fish that you have ever caught? Mine is a tiger trout.

Yea. I caught it in a brook in ct. This one is a lot more vivid than most, you should look them up. They fight really hard.

It is a hybrid brown/brook trout, they are unique and hard to come across in the wild.  They are a very aggressive fish and fun to catch.

 ??? ??? They aren't stocked in NY and I've never heard of or seen anything like it ???  Nice fish would make a nice mount ;D

Bull trout, Salvelinus confluentus, and Tiger trout, Salmo trutta X Salvelinus fontinalis, are 2 seperate species.

A bull trout is a unique species whereas the tiger trout is a hybrid.

have caught a mess of 1 eyed catfish, seen palamino trout caught before. caught a bullhead the other day with one side fin missing.  caught a fish in florida that looked like a ball of mud

Ive heard the older generation call walleye pickeral all my life up here, doesn't mean they are right. ;)

Anything with the word Salvelinus in their name is a char. Including the tiger trout, bull trout, and the brook trout.

Bull trout is not a common name, it is a species in itself, and the people you heard call a tiger trout a bull trout were just wrong. It happens. :)

Guys- we have native Bull Trout (endangered) here in Montana, they look similar to a lake trout. I have heard of Tiger Trout, but we don't have them here. They look nothing like a Brown.

sorry bout the language. really shocking though. here are some other odd fish.

a squishy fish, was identified as a sea prech by someone. i dont think a sea perch is actually a real type of fish.

shiner on steroids....?

Looks like a fallfish, we catch them a little bigger in Canada on our annual trip. We do use them for pike bait and have got pike over 40" on them. We put them under a huge cigar shaped slip float while jigging walleyes. It's awesome to see them jumping out of the water trying to escape before the float takes off :woot:.
