Winter again ??

as i type this we are under a winter storm watch till 7 am monday morning 
6"+ of wet heavy snow is sitting on my fishing hole but i shall try to get out one more time if not I'll be treading water over to www.myfishfinder.com  hope to see tou all there sooner or later ..

Well as of this time the old yard stick says about 27" of the new white stuff. since yesterday i have cleared 4 driveways 2 times each. If I was to put the driveways end to end thay would strectch a mile. As soon has i down load the camera I will give a link to see a few of my pictures. and yes it is still snowing right now!!!!

Is that what they would refer to as "heart attack snow"? It looks like those little pine trees are about ready to give up!

How was your ice doing before that snow? If the temps stay mild, that snow may buy you a little more time on the ice. Be careful though, snow covers up the bad spots.

The ice is starting to pull away from shore here. That last bit of rain we got didn't do the ice any favors. I would not hesitate to go out one more time, but I doubt I will.

My lake had a good 2 feet of ice before this snow fell, they say we have another storm comin too!

We got 10 inches of wet snow again today. Will spring ever come?\ It is 30 degrees right now with a gusty 20 mph wind.

I was talking to some folks today that believed that the snow that fell on the metro was a new variety unknown to meteorology. The stuff that fell on St Paul makes "heart attack" snow look light weight! I would compare this snow to one of those Icee drinks that you would get at a gas station. Here are a few of the proposed names for this new kind of snow...

Snow sauce
Snause
Cream of snow
Snoop

we only ended up getting about 8 or 10 inches of that crap.  Went out on the ice today and there are ppl still out with 4 wheelers but there is about 5 inches of slush on top of the ice there is still over 2 ft of ice.

If you've ever worked concrete, that's a good comparison to what it was like shoveling snow in St Paul during April 2008.

Out of the 2 last snow storms we got a total of 35". As of now I have just a little snow left in the yard.

here we go again.....why does it have to snow??  I guess thats minnesota for ya.  two days ago the 24th of april it was 75 degrees here and now as i type this there is 12+ inches of snow on the ground.....when will it end?

You all know that here in MN that we get a weather change every couple of days. 75-80 & sunny on Wednesday , rain on Thursday & Snow on Friday!
What's new for tomorrow, Getting warmer again! GOtta luv this state, we can have all seasons in a weeks time. Hang in there folks, It'll be changing again!

July 18th 1992.
My Son and I rode the Harley over to Red Lodge,before we got there it was snowing.A guy in the Bull and Bear Saloon asked if we were going to go over Beartooth Pass then He advised us to not do that as there was 18 inches of snow and slush going bye that way.
