Anyone getting out this weekend?

I hear the ice calling me!  Not sure where yet, but one of the local lakes is getting some holes drilled in it!

I'm still debating.  I was going to get the house ready to drag out next weekend but I got a call last night that my new spear is done so I may NEED to venture out.  Where are you heading Haywood?  How much ice are you finding around you?  Big Lake was still open last night.

Everyone I have been talking to has been finding over 4" on the smaller lakes.  I was supposed to go hunting with the old man this weekend, but his cousin died and screwed our plans up.  I will probably hit fanny or skoogman.  I need that kid to pop out so I can get off of this house arrest!  That was piss poor planning on my part, but that's what happens when you mix alcohol on hot tubs, I guess.

I got the hottub all to myself for now.  I thought it was relaxing last year, but was amazed at how much more relaxing it is when the wife isn't in there yapping.

I don't like the snow to be 5x thicker than the ice.

The water should stay IN the hole when you drill it.

Only so much sausage allowed in there at a time, after all, it's a hot tub, not a giant pot of Jambalaya.

She helped me spell Jambalaya on that last one.  She puts up with alot, but makes up for it, by being late for EVERYTHING

I hear that.  Sounds like she's as proficient at making babies as my wife.  married aug 20th 2005, first kid aug 20th 2006, second on the way.  She's 3 1/2 months pregnant right now.  and we're both only 23.  if this keeps up i'm gonna have my own baseball team by the time i'm 30

It's not too bad yet, we own the child care center in town, so that part is pretty cheap.  Beer and hot tubs could get a guy in a lot of trouble though.

I have both of my portables set up in the garage, all of my rods re-strung and I just picked up a few fly boxes for putting my jigs in.  I was kind of bumbed to find out that the main body of Rush is still open water, but there are a few closer lakes that need my attention, plus, I have to move my permanent over to my buddy's tomorrow.

im hoping to get out.. provided we dont get a whole lot more snow.. its really pilling up here.. and all my fishing stuff is at the parent inlaws along with my truck!!

I decided to finishing Christmas shopping so I will have more time next weekend.  That snow is a bass turd.
