Welcome to IceShanty Jim!!

I have fishied Lake Vermillion twice,  both being the first week in June.  I camped on an Island,  so unfortunately I can't really be of any help there.  ??? The town of Tower is not far from the lake at all,  so you should be able to get what you need there.  I also only fished that side of the lake once,  so I can't even get you to any spots.  The lake has excellent fishing and lots of acreage to cover,  so get a good map and get as much info beforehand as possible.

Here is a link to get you started,

I don't like it here, so I will probably be here for a while.........

If you like to gamble there is a pretty nice casino called Fortune Bay and Resort with nice rooms, towards the Tower end of Vermillion.  I have been going to Elbow Lake which is on the Cook end of vermillion for about 22 years now.  As for hotels in Cook, there is one little motel right on Rt. 53 with a bait shop also located right on 53 that is open all year long as well as the Spur Gas Station that I believe sells bait as well all year.  As for food, there is a nice "home like" restaurant called the Montana Cafe in Cook, great deals and great food.  I ice fished vermillion once last year on new years caught a few small walleye and perch off weedline in about 10 feet on tear drops and waxies going for gills but got them instead.  Not complaining.  Not that that will help much but thats all I got.
