Same reply to Lake Jean, but according to the directions from PA DCNR, that's a four hour trip for me.  Any interest in renting a cabin for a long weekend?

i live about a 1/2 hour or so from Lake Jean ...

havent been to Hills Creek yet ... but thats about an hour maybe a little more for me
I will have to see what comes up ... Im on a limited income (disability) ...
it would make more sense for me to drive there then to rent a cabin ...

Well the Spud and I were discussing that as well! He was saying the cheapest he could find was 55 a night! Sounds good hope we can find someone who knows the ropes on the lake a bit!

I'm going to need a weekend just to find the place!  First I thought Mount Pisgah was the same as Hills Creek.  It wasn't until I pulled out my PF&B Map that I realized they are two different places.  As per PA DCNR Hills Creek is 112 miles away and is estimated to takes 4 hrs. to get there; Mount Pisgah is 81 miles away and will take 3 hrs. to get there.  According to AAA, HC is 119 miles and will take 2.5 hrs.; MP is 66 miles and will take 1.5 hrs.

Do you think if I left now we'll still have safe ice by the time I get there?

there is some good fishing at hills creek  best time is early in morning or just before sunset  had good luck there last year best place is on far side by the campground

Well as soon as we get safe ice let me know! The Spud and I will definitely be wanting to check it out! Have to make a weekend trip out of it! Fish and drink and maybe drink some more? Oh yea then go find some ladies!
