The big box stores are pretty much a joke. The Dick's in Greensburg has such a poor fishing selection that I don't think i'll ever go back there for any of my fishing needs. The stuff they stock is ridiculous, catfish rods but no reels big enough to fit them, soft baits for bass but don't have the proper hooks to use them, ect. Gander Mountain (Greensburg) has a slightly better selection but they never have what you need. All summer long they were out of all sinkers heavier than 1 oz, earlier in the year they were all out of 4lb test, a whole isle of Rapala lures but no jigging raps! Each store should have at least one employee that is knowledgeable about the fishing/hunting in the area and stock merchandise accordingly.
