Looked like there was decent ice.  I fished south of Buckboard on Saturday.  Good clear ice with a little frost cover.  Did not try as far south as Anvil but the weather was 27F at 10:30pm.

I was @ Buckboard as well Saturday. Lots of people out there... I am thinking of heading a little farther south and spending the night lingin'. Thanks Wyobrink

4" of ice last Saturday at Anvil.  Pressure ridges just starting, it's a little spooky but with caution makes the trip worth it.
I wouldn't be racing my ATV around on 4 inches like some were....they didn't float last I knew.

There were two  ATV,s floating around the confluence at the gorge last year.  Course both of them were upside down.  So some of them do float.  In fact one was still floating the night of last years Burbot Bash.

Tragically humorous, I stand corrected!

Hot rodding on 4 inches of ice reminds me of those guys that race snowmobiles across water. Sooner or later nature and physics will win.

Anyone have any news on Anvil Ice?   I heard of water on top of the ice at brennigars on the east side of the gorge.

Going to test the new Garmin 400C and the new Marcum hand held sonar. Both should be a hoot if the fish cooperate.

WY I just got back from Anvil, ice is 6+, but the edges are a little scary, you have to find a spot to get out, and there are a couple pressure ridges, as for the fishin pretty slow 1 about 8lb all day, Good luck if ya go!! :)

Maybe I try some spot between  Anvil and Buckboard. Thanks for the info.

About seven hours until the fat gopher tells us of winter or spring forthcoming.

Ice is about 8 inches but bring along a plank for safety at the shore.
