Filleting Northern Pike

Figured this would be a great place for pointers!  All tips and strategies welcome...

This is how i do it. Put the pike on its belly and cut in the back of its head down to the backbone. Cut along the backbone all  the way downe to the fin. That will be a nice chunk with no bones. mmmmmmm.  Next I follow the backbone down on eachside untill I have a chunk of meat again. Cut off the belly part of the meat and then the skin. Now alot of people make a big deal about the Y Bone. It does not bother me. I cook it up and as it falls apart the Y bone is right there very easy to pick out and you do no loose alot of meat. Here is a  step by step that will get you on your way...this is the scematic I learned from, you may mess up a fillet or 2 at first...then its clear sailin :)
